How to enable internet hotspot sharing with comodo firewall

Comodo firewall is conflicting with mHotspot and Connectify applications and even though I have created a hotspot somehow Comodo is blocking all internet access to be shared over to hotspot. I’ve even added them to Comodo’s list of allowed applications but still wont work.
How can I enable hotspot/internet sharing from Comodo firewall?

You need to create allow In for global rules. I could only find information for configuring a firewall to work with connectify which states what ports need to be opened through the firewall to work I am going to list them here with the rules you need to add to your global rules.

  • Action: Allow Direction: In Protocol: UDP Source Address: Any Destination Address: Any Source Port:Any Destination Port: 53
  • Action: Allow Direction: In Protocol: UDP Source Address: Any Destination Address: Any Source Port:Any Destination Port: 67
  • Action: Allow Direction: In Protocol: UDP Source Address: Any Destination Address: Any Source Port:Any Destination Port: 68
  • Action: Allow Direction: In Protocol: UDP Source Address: Any Destination Address: Any Source Port:Any Destination Port: 1900
  • Action: Allow Direction: In Protocol: TCP Source Address: Any Destination Address: Any Source Port:Any Destination Port: 2869
  • Action: Allow Direction: In Protocol: TCP Source Address: Any Destination Address: Any Source Port:Any Destination Port: 5000

Connectify.exe, Connectifyd.exe, and ConnectifyNetServices.exe are the applications you need to have allow rules for that you can set to the Allowed Application ruleset under firewall application settings. Also make sure these executables are trusted in the file list.

As for mhotspot they don’t give specific details to configure a firewall to work with mHotspot, only to add an exception to the windows firewall.
