erty…I don’t think your understanding me. I have the lastest Comodo and I was using KAV 8.0.0.357 and they working fine together. I also have had Firefox 3.0 installed since it came out last week with no issues when I was using Avast. After installing KAV 8.0 Firefox kept crashing. I posted something in the KAV forums about and so have others. People who have Firefox 3.0 and KAV are getting constant crashed like I was and they DO NOT have Comodo installed. KAV 8.0 is still beta. There was never a new version of Comodo to correct KAV problems. KAV problems are there own and separate from Comodo. What version of Firefox are you using?
Hi Vettetech,
I don’t think your understanding me. My problem isn’t a problem with firefox. My only problem is that Toggie said
“Still, never mind, 3.0.14.276 is released now, it fixes the proxy situation with Kav and Nod”
see this Post https://forums.comodo.com/help_for_v3/v3_and_kaspersky_compatibility_issues_merged_threads-t16620.0.html;msg117605#msg117605
you said “I have the lastest Comodo and I was using KAV 8.0.0.357 and they working fine together” ← but only with unchecked http ports.
my only problem are the HTTP Ports independently whether firefox or ie7 is installed.
Yes, I’m aware of that link, but it is for KAV 7.0, not a final version of KAV 8.0. (I have 7.0.1.325 c.d)
Anyway, I am going gracefully ■■■■ out of this thread and let you and Vettetech hammer away at the Firefox/KAV/Comodo issue.
Ok I never said I unchecked any ports. It was all at defaults. Look at reply #13 I wrote. Toggie posted that back in December of 07. Version 276 was back in Dec of 07. Thats along time ago. KAV 8.0 wasnt out then. Either way its not a Comodo problem. Bottom line is that KAV 8.0 is still beta and for now I am using NOD32. Hope you fix your issus. Take care and I am out of here.
, but i can see a final of version 8
(:AGY) i wanna only discuss cpf/KAV without Firefox (:WIN)

Where do you live cause when I go to the site I only see 7.0 ?
Yeah, my thoughts exactly.
When the KAV site sees the HTTP request originating from, say, Germany, it returns a page containing information on final versions of KAV 8.0 that have been officially released overseas. Requests from the US are routed to the page displaying only the latest version of KAV 7.0.
Several posters on the KAV forum today expressed frustration with this exact same problem, despite moderators’ insistence that the download link is “clearly” visible. It’s not if you live in the US.
yes i’m from germany.
You may safely uncheck all ports and run it with settings like… (see pictures) you will not fail eicar file tests nor real virus test ??? (:LGH)
Weird marketing, Kaspersky decides to announce 2009 set of products differently for each part of the world, so for UK and US are not released yet.
But all of you can download FINAL VERSION RELEASE from this FTPs:
KIS: ftp://ftp.kaspersky.com/products/english/homeuser/kis2009/kis8.0.0.357en.exe
KAV: ftp://ftp.kaspersky.com/products/english/homeuser/kav2009/kav8.0.0.357en.exe
