How does CIS use disk space when it updates?

I was wondering if CIS purges update files or do they accumulate somewhere. I am losing freee disk space and wondered if these update downloads are responsible. Thanks for any information.

If you’re loosing disk space try Treesize Free. That’s a useful tool to see what folders are using a lot of space.

my C:\Program Files\Comodo\COMODO Internet Security folder had got up to 3GB with those B00… files

I think one is getting added on every update, but I’ll have to monitor it to see…

Hi and welcome JAMESDEV,
Multiple bxxxxx.cav files generally occur with corrupt Database updates or if system restore is used.
You can delete all bxxxxx.cav files, except for the one in use which will give a notification when found.
