On a different note, the first time the GUI is opened after CFP.exe is started, it takes an incredibly long long long time - 5 to 15 minutes. After the first open, it goes fine from then on.

If I exit the firewall, then restart the CFP.exe from desktop icon and try to open the GUI, the same thing will occur. So it’s not just the first time you try to access it after logging in to Windows; it’s the first time after CFP.exe is started.

Bug is reproducible on this system.

At me - maybe thanks to the known xp bug - the tray icon not shown. I also wasn’t able to load the interface unless i killed the cpf.exe process with taskmgr.

Hi.

If I go to Manage My Profile and select create a custom safe list, when I select and drag C: drive to the right, when I choose to scan it will scan for literally a second then close. Is this right or should it, as I think, scan the entire C: drive? (Running Vista 32-bit). But if I drag a particular folder (eg. C:/program files) it will scan the entire contents of that folder which is correct.

I didn’t install in safe-mode or anything. Although I did take the precaution of disabling CMG first… just in case. First impressions… very impressive.

On the first restart… I naturally opened the GUI. I added both trusted & blocked stuff (via tasks). Then I noticed that every single display within the GUI was blank/empty. I checked CFPs registry path & that was OK. I exited CFP (closing CFP.EXE) & restarted it. All there with one minor exception. Not tried another reboot yet.

Minor exception: My Customized Safe List files are not showing up from within the GUI… but, they are there.

Sorting bug (screenshot attached).

Files and directories which start with upper case are sorted first then those which start with lower case. They should be sorted alphabetically no matter if the first letter is upper case or lower case (like in Windows).

There are multiple (three) rules for BOClean, but they all show exactly the same properties when I click “Edit…”. See image below.

During install, if you want to choose a custom folder for installation, there is a little problem. For example if you want to replace D:\Program Files\Comodo and you browse to F:\Program Files and click OK, Comodo doesn’t create a special folder for its installation as expected but he copies the files directly inside the Program Files directory. :o (See screenshot 1)

Under Firewall-> Advanced-> Network Security Policy I get double rules like shown in screenshot 2. (See the first 4 rules… they are identical 2 by 2). I delete them but they appear after reboot.

Going to Firewall-> Advanced-> Predefined Firewall Policies I click Add and then I enter a rule and clicking apply will result in that message window shown in screenshot 3. What application should I choose and how ?

I switched profile in Vista, even the systray icon did not turn up for the second active profile. I could not get the GUI to to display in the active (second) profile.

Sometimes I got Error Unpacking Resources from CPFres.dl during CPF startup. It usually get followed by Error loading resource from %USERNAME%\Comodo\Firewall Pro\Data\ResFiles.

This bug is random.
