In system32 I have a guard64.dll and the guard32.dll is in my syswow64 folder. since I have 64 bit and I assume comodo installed a 64 bit version, (the help does not specify that only that its version why is the guard32.dll being invoked anyway? Also when I got the problem and saw windows was pointing the fault at guard32, I disabled comodo everything but I’m still getting the same problem after the disable? thanks for any help here

A new version of CIS was just released announced to fix this issue with chrome here
I know I had an error when attempting to update using the built-in update check so I ended up downloading the installer from the release topic and uninstalled and then install with the downloaded installer.

thanks for the reply, not sure what happened after (or during) my post! got a notice for a comodo update, which I took, it then wanted a reboot, so after the reboot, there was chrome installed and perhaps it was installed from the first try and when trying to reinstall I got the error from the chrome bug, not for the install but just trying to run chrome and then the comodo update fixed the bug, phew, kinda ugly but w chrome installed guess i’m done with this
