drivers hooking IDT
drivers hooking IRP calls
inline hooks

Sounds good for cleaning out tough rootkits! Thanks.

It’s been around for some time. I heard it’s good but I never used it.

Thanks for the notification. It seemed like the development of gmer had come to an end because the website showed the previous version for a long time. But gmer is still alive and kicking with Win 8 support.

Edit. It is hanging here on Win 8 maxing out one of four cores. Adding it to the BO exclusions does not help.

It ran beautifully on my win8 x64 Intel Core 2 Quad.
31% cpu
but it found a root kit on my main box so i emailed the author i have not a clue what to do
something to do with a usb driver error. which i was reading about rootkits the other day and noticed my event viewer. stumbled upon this post.
now i am getting a different event viewer driver error waiting to hear from the author there maybe a fight going on i shouldn’t have any driver errors in my event viewer. So it’s usb error befor gmer.
now it’s generic driver after gmer…can’t wait to see what GMER auhor says

THANX FOR THIS POST!
