GENERAL TORTOISE FOR A COMP... ANYONE HELP

My whole computer is just one big slow turtle… I get on firefox and only firefox and it takes forever to load sites and watch movies and its a pain… Then when i want to get out of something it either crashes (firefox) or creeps down the screen like one pixelated line at a time… Itunes is ■■■■ but i think i have that taken care of… I get random error messages when dealing with itunes, and internet stuff… and this f’n GLOBAL HOOK i still seem to have…

I have run:

Registry Cleaner (comodo)
Malware
SAS
COMODO VIRUS SCAN

a couple things might come up and i get rid of them and boom for about 3 seconds everything is fine… then back to staring at the hare’s ■■■… (tortoise)…

Just i need some clean device or boost…

i think main thing is Physical Memory and RAM and all that but it ran GREAT when we first got it…

WINDOWS XP
DELL DIMENSION 3000

FIRE FOX
AOL

COMODO INT. Sec version 3 i think…
COMODO REG CLEANER

509 Phys. Memory

Just hit me with some trials and errors or a real good fix me up besides throw it away… thanks

You might try uninstalling CSC. It may be messing with services.exe. Check out this thread.

Hi,

Please provide us with the version of Comodo Registry Cleaner that is currently installed on your computer.
Also, it’s better to clean install the new version of Comodo System Cleaner which also includes Registry Cleaner module. You can download it from here: https://forums.comodo.com/comodo_system_cleaner_fileregistryprivacy_cleaner/comodo_system_cleaner_211141941_public_release-t46974.0.html
Please tell us if the problem still persists after installing the new version.

Thank you for your support.

I dont know… i hope something works… i mean your telling me to uninstall CSC and the other one is telling me to Install the new version… I mean its just a crazy mess i will try it and see what happens i guess…

2 new screen shots this is the process screen during a freeze or crash when i tried to watch a online tv show i missed from the night before… if you look at the task bar at the bottom it has 2 mozilla tabs… well only one was open…

The other screen shot i tried to run a virus scan and that error wont let me? do i have to reinstall?

Hi grfxdzine

A couple of things.

When you have two instances of Firefox you can open task manager and kill one of them providing you only intend to have one open.

You do have a lot of processes running for the amount of physical memory available. You should try and eliminate as much of them as you possibly can. For example:Google updater, TXBell updater, Java updater, etc.

Maybe someone with a bit more technical know how than I have can help you with your Hijack This log.

John

Hi grfxdzine,

I can recommend you try running msconfig to stop some of the programs at startup and some of the services…

Go Start->run or Win+R and type msconfig

Click on the Startup-tab and remove all those programs that you dont use… but be aware of your driver software that starts up.

Do the same with the Services-tab and remember to click on “hide all microsoft services” before you do any optimizing… Now you can stop all those services that you dont need… and you should be able to disable the most without getting any problems… unless you use itunes/iPhone etc.

Hope it helps a bit. And remember to go slowly on msconfig… you can mess your pc pretty much up with a few clicks…

man i dont know what the hell it is… my computer is sooooooooooooooooooo slow… i dont know what to do… i uninstalled CIS and now trying to reinstall since it wouldnt let me run a virusscan, but who knows if i can after i reinstall it… ill try a msconfig stuff. but most i thought i did… thanks keep the help coming… if anyone wants to teamviewer it and try to fix me that way im down… let me know… peace!

Hi,

When did you first experienced this problem, your computer running slow? Maybe you can remember what operations you performed before. And also post us a screenshot with the Task Manager> Processes tab, where the entries are sorted by the highest CPU usage.

Thank you.

ill get you the task screen shots but i think my problem was FIREFOX!!.. it was the only thing that would give me problems and while i was on it, then the whole computer was slow… I just uninstalled it and might try to reinstall it and see if i just needed to do that…

I am using my internet explorer and its working fine… My family uses AOL and they never tell me anything and they play games and all kinds of stuff… so we will see if that fixes it…

I uninstalled CIS and wanted to know which one i should redownload cause i need a computer Anti-virus and just wondered which comodo one i should download from that page… (FREE VERSION)

Thanks for all the help… cause i been cleaning the heck out of my computer… ran all kinds of scans, and defragmented it… Just maintained the shit out of it all… Hopefully this works…

Hi grfxdzine

Hope things will work well for you now. Download the latest CIS from here.

John

ok thanks…

its doing it again kinda i did the CPU screen shots (shown here)… what is System Idle Process cause thats using about 91 percent of the computers usage…

check it out…

Well i downloaded the CIS and tried to open it but i got this error report: that the CIS… file is not a valid WIN32 application…

I am seriously about to take my computer by the wrists and slit this DELL into another world… of homicide robotics…AAAAAAHH

OK now its services.exe and system idle process (which i understand is normal) that is taking up all the CPU usage… Man i dont know… even CIS wont get any higher than 56% update rate…

Here’s a couple screen shots 1st showing CPU USAGE and other showing frustration of what i keep getting… for long periods of time…

yay! either everyone doesnt care or even you all are playing the new COD:MW2… well look im out of energy, patience, and everything else… this is a SOS or a MAYDAY or A HELP!!! cause im already going insane…

here is my last screen shot… after i installed CIS (ps i can’t update by the way, why?? yea i dont know. GETS TO 56% and stops)

I blocked two things and this is what is happening from “intrusion” on my defense wall… check it and if normal?? let me know… BUT SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

FORGOT TO TELL YOU: my screen went upside down yesterday, right now CIS wont respond to me, and some keys wont show up each time i type them… , also on my CABLE INTERNET BOX there are indicator lights saying POWER (ON) USB (OFF) ENET (BLINKS FAST ON) SEND (OFF, random ONS), RECV (BLINKS FAST ON) SYNC (ON) READY (ON)… the one im worried about is SEND it should be “BLINKS FAST ON” when trying to download or upload or recieve info… I DONT KNOW IM TELLING YOU EVERYTHING!!

well thanks for nothing today… lets see anything new?? i ran a total CIS virus scan and after 701000 files there was no viruses. it finally updated about 2 hours of trying… I got on my computer at 3:39pm today and restarted it. after coming back on i tried to get online via FireFox and 3:58 was when it popped up and 3:59 im on your site and its 4:01 now… whats so weird?? is that it took me 30 minutes to get online… I watched my task menu CPU usage spike up and down for 25 of those minutes… WTF no one can help??

IF im on my own then i will stop posting just someone tell me so im not talking to an empty confessional…

here’s my hijackthis most recent:
