Addendum to last post. Just updated to 4.1 on all computers. OUTSTANDING, EXCELLENT, WUNDERBAR…need I say more? :wink: ;D
I am very, very impressed with how quickly, professionally Comodo addressed any issues with update problems.

Good question. When I updated today I found I have this version on my home computer and three other computers. 4.1.150349.920
This was about an hour ago.

I did the update yesterday and I have the same version ’ the one in topic’s title "

i’m guessing the next update will be released after 3 hours from now :-TU

So comodo’s today is almost tomorrow in real time excellent! (Hmmmmm yes I know they are in the USA.) Still tho.

I just ran an manual update and I have some updates available. But I don’t run AV at home so it looks like nothing is updated on my side (same CIS version in About).

As I pretended , I got the update ;D but it’s still 4.1.150349.920 , never mind , the D+ is now working as it should which is the most important thing here and of course the sandbox … regarding this update purpose , I have never had any problem with comodo AV unlike the other vendors along which I faced a lot of blue screens especially with their ealrly releases :slight_smile:

I just updated to the second half of yesterday’s update. It went fine and there was no reboot required. I just downloaded the new installers and they now reflect the correct version number when checking the properties - 4.1.150349.920.

I think that 4.1.150349.920(10.06.10 edition) is the greatest version of CIS ever made. :-TU
Or the actual version is 19277 ?Confused. :smiley:

I have CIS complete but I don’t have the sandbox tabs in the firewall or the defence plus pop ups. My version is 4.150439.920 weird huh?

You need to check the product version in properties, not the installer version.

Don’t you know that a system-protection-software update demands much more than a simple application update? Then, you know now.

NONE of my customers want your software anymore, mostly due to these broken updates.

I’m 100% with COMODO, b/c I know what it means, I can manage my system mostly on-the-fly, but my customers are very very mad with me due to the above - they can’t do it!.

So, I’m forced to take a decision: I will re-start with you only after 6 months ā€œstableā€.

Please, understand: I have no-choice. It’s you or my customers. It’s not easy! Due to YOU. From now on, I’ll recommend another protection system, waiting for stability and for reliability (this means: with popular softwares included).

I KNOW these updates came to solve many issues (I HOPE SO - as usual changelog is ā€œalmostā€ empty)

I know and trust in you… But I have to pay for my food, not YOU! And I eat a lot.

PLEASE, PLEEEAASEEE - FULL BETA-TEST UNTIL GOES PUBLIC! It’s not so dang hard. It’s not so dang priced. It’s not so dang long!

V4 (4.0, 4.1…) is STILL in beta-test procedure! Even after these ā€œupdatesā€.

I’m useing CIS on my system (now at only the ā€œsecondā€ boot) - for when I want to be protected from ā€œdangerousā€ behaviour. I have to have what my customers have. AND I’M FEELING SO dang BAD!

(just a minor comparison to have in mind: last years many users/companies were changing from MS to *nix… even considerig trainning costs and software costs… - why?)

So what AV solution are you now using that doesn’t have updates?!?

Due to STILL unstable DB updates, I’v been with Avira, mostly to have the feeling of ā€œover-protectedā€ b/c D+ does its work very very well (20min updating time for a non 4 days logged-on system is too much, with almost 100% CPU’s). Comodo AV DB’s update have’d troubled my customers at February very hard (not mentioning those hard-things of jan and nov/dec-09). Since I have a rule to only recommend software that has been stable for the last 4 months… COMODO is on the edge right now…
See, the ā€œupdatesā€ that I’m talking about englobes the whole system (FW plus D+/HIPS plus AV). And I’m sure that you know what I mean. Don’t pretend to be so naive! So-Sorry.

Same here and at least their wrong termed ā€œSandboxā€ module is far away from being out of beta-state.

I think CIS is a great product basically but Comodo manages to trash it with rush-job updates, missing basic UI features (which have been discussed in other threads already), and (ab)using their users as cheap beta testers - so CIS became the WindowsME in the Security-Suite landscape.

They should spend some bucks for a good project manager rather than for new developers.
