Format for reporting bugs


  1. Copy Format between dotted lines
  2. Create new topic and paste format into it
  3. Fill in format, replacing question marks with your answers
  4. Explain the problem in the title of the bug report
  5. Always post a link to the required files or append them to your post
    (To revert to the default format click on settings, choose User Interface, then choose ‘export format’ (to save your old format), then ‘default’ to revert to default format)

2. What you did to cause that to happen, step by step
i) ?
ii) ?

3. If you repeat these steps does the same thing always happen
4. What you expected or wanted to happen
5. Operating system, whether 32 or 64bit, and service pack number
Full version number (from Help ~ About)
6. Any other security or sandbox software installed now or previously
7. Does this problem occur if you load the default configuration and reboot
8. Any other relevant information (eg Your guess at the reason for the bug)
9. Links to requested files

If the problem disappears when you use the default config please export and upload your config

If the problem is a:

  • BSOD, OS or Process hang: Always append: complete OS dump.
  • Process crash: Always append: complete process dump.
  • Logic problem: Append where relevant: Download links for software involved, Logs, Complete process list (eg from Windows Task Manager).
  • Performance issue: As 2 above, plus always append process list screenshots to show CPU and memory usage of all processes.
  • Difficult to explain issue: Video or very detailed steps to reproduce
