I am not familiar with this at all, but i was wondering if it would be possible to add my own where i would just have to allow one alert for a program, allow everything as it were.
You can always make your own rules. Go to Firewall\Advanced\Network Security policy and highlight the program you want to edit. Read the help file under Miscellaneous to aid in what you need to know.
You can do that on few ways, I will try to present you one:
Go to Defense+ - advanced - computer security policy - find “All Applications” - right click on * - click “Add…” - Access Rights - on that window you should change every Default Action from Ask to Allow, except “Run An Executable”.
After those changed settings you will be prompted only if something tries to execute something, like you requested, but I strongly advise you to not changing anything, you will cripple your security to the “bones”.
See picture if something is not clear
