File Intelligence Service is now Live :)

Thanks. :-TU

File Intelegence Service WISH List

The File Intelegence Service gives users a manually searchable database of good and bad files.

Not sure if it shows the Application(s) those file belong to ??

Currently there are no manually searchable file lists of the Trusted Vendors list. nor the White/Safe List,
by users.

This will not stop duplication of requests, but it will definately reduce duplications !
Not sure IF this can be done, but it would be helpful for users.

Also wondered how the File Intelegence Service keeps current with revisions.

Many files allow for older and newer versions to work
and others programs like Qnext insures that you have the latest updates before you get on the network. That and when you remotely connect PC to PC is the only time the server is used.
After that it is PC to PC no server involved.

I and others hope that the File Intelgence Service Search Parameters could be expanded !

Thanks Again

Where can I find the file size in the site, I tried to search for mgy.exe, it shows some entries with SHA1 and MD5 but I could not find the size of the file.

If you search by SHA1, you can see the file size.

I’d like to know this as well, and if there’s not a way then my wish is for there to be one. ;D

It seems file names with space(s) are not supported. I searched for XMedia Recode.exe, and here is the “result”: http://file-intelligence.comodo.com/windows-process-virus-malware/exe/XMedia%20Recode

Can that be fixed?

Thanks.

Thanks for finding out. Will have it fixed.

The webiste is no longer working. :frowning:
Is this service dead?

Hi Wev. It wasn’t working here earlier, but it is working again now. Kind regards.

Thanks. Good to know its back! :azn:
I literally love this project.
One of the bests.

I see in this link that a same file has been submitted by different users in different countries:
http://file-intelligence.comodo.com/windows-process-virus-malware/exe/svchost

How can we submit the same files (if we are already in a different country)?
What if we have the same file with different SHA1 that is not listed?

Database connection error when searching by SHA1.

does anyone know if this service is still going to be linked into CIS?
