Hello. I updated CIS yesterday on my moms Vista 32bit computer to CIS version 5 via the updater. I then did a GRC-ShieldsUp port scan and failed. I switched to the Pro-active setting and set the firewall to block all incoming connectiongs and make all ports stealth. I ran the GRC port scan again and failed again. I’m am not sure how to fix this. On my computer all ports are stealth with the same settings as my moms CIS settings. Thanks for any suggestions.
When you are behind a router GRC is probing the router. Not your mother’s computer.
Now that makes sense. I will look into her router. It was ports 1-102 that were not stealth but closed. Thank you.
