Facing Some Issues with i7 Laptops and Comodo Internet Security. Any Advice?

Hello everyone,

I’m having some trouble with Comodo Internet Security on my i7 laptop and was hoping for some advice or suggestions from anyone who might have experienced similar issues.

Details:

  • Laptop Specs: Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, running Windows 10.
  • Comodo Product: Comodo Internet Security (V12.2.4.8032).

Problems Encountered:

  1. System Slowdowns: The laptop becomes noticeably slower when Comodo is running, especially during scans.
  2. High CPU Usage: Comodo frequently spikes CPU usage, even when the system is idle, causing the laptop to heat up.
  3. Occasional Crashes: There are times when the software crashes, requiring a restart to get things working again.

What I’ve Tried So Far:

  • Updated Comodo Internet Security to the latest version.
  • Performed a clean installation to see if it resolves any conflicts.
  • Tweaked some settings to reduce the impact on system performance.

Despite these attempts, the issues persist, and it’s starting to affect my workflow. Has anyone faced similar problems with Comodo Internet Security on an i7 laptop? Any tips or suggestions on how to improve performance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, my advice for starting out is to update your Comodo to the new version 12.3.3.8140

Since you have already reported that you have updated to the new version, do you have the COMODO INTERNET SEUCRITY PREMIUM 2025 version?
