Excessive disc access

Hey, me again…

i was noticing heavy disk load from time to time and when i did some logging with filemon i found out that cmdagent.exe was like scanning my entire disk, ranging from windows dll’s to applications (adobe reader, google earth) to games (which werent running) on another disk (e:\games). Why is that? And can this be disabled, because i would expect such behaviour from my virus scanner, not from my firewall, and its really annoying…

since i have comodo firewall installed, i never get any hdd spindown again…this cant be good, i really like the firewall but i dont like the big performance drop…is there any possibility to fix this, some specific option or so…?

no, not cpu load (max 20%), but harddisk access…it slows down loading application

Hi,

i’ve been noticing cmdagent on occasion lately thrashing my HD to the tune of 60-80MB/sec
for over a minute (as displayed in the I/O meter of ProcessExplorer)

-no viruses on system either… my only recourse is to shut comodo down and restart it,
as it was slowing me down horribly…and tbh, i did not trust it to be working as intended

happens maybe once or twice a week… it’s not access the internet at that time either…(nothing is)
