CIS version 12.0.0.6882 help you, if bug not fixed in x.7098 version… the greatest disorder

UPD 2021-01-03 :: CIS version 12.2.2.7098 - WSL2 still doesn’t work. Checked it.

Thank you for the reply,

I can’t find any official links to this version, is there any ?

There are several V12.0.0.6882 download links scattered over the forum.
Here are some links:

See this post for several versions: Update Testing Versions

In this top Comodo MODERATOR (ZorKas) posted unofficial link for 12.0.0.6882 (release) version:
https://forums.comodo.com/francais-french/comodo-internet-security-2019-v12006882-ndash-disponible-t124711.0.html;msg890652#msg890652

just check md5 hash after download for best security safe) lol

All reported links by Ploget, user_01 and me to V12.0.0.6882 are one and the same official release version.

Naturally the online are, but not the Offline downloads. They are the version they state.

I get it.
I called them “official” because I did a binary compare between them all to make sure they are one and the same.

One month more, same situation as one year ago. Very nice

Just to test, I installed the newest CIS version about a week ago. Seems to work now. I am on version 12.2.2.7098.

I’m not entirely satisfied with it. You essentially cannot have it start with Windows.

A machine running 12.2.2.7098, I have to wait up to 5 minutes before I stop getting 0x80041002 errors when trying to start WSL.
A machine running 12.0.0.6882, running WSL as the very first thing I do upon Windows being responsive works every time.

Cannot confirm. My Windows 10 auto-start did not work at all, in the past few days due to the most recent update trouble. Today, it somehow auto-started everything properly, as it usually would be the case before the aforementioned update trouble.

Since I was greeted with a Docker Desktop survey right after logging in, I checked WSL and if Docker works in it, out of curiousity. It worked fine and the whole boot up process took perhaps a minute or two.

Sounds like you have to schedule your behaviour. Does not work with every user.

The issue still persists with Comodo Internet security Pro 12.2.2.7098.
I’m getting the error 0x80041002 with converting WSL 1 to WSL 2.
Disabling all the componens does not help as well.

One thing you can try :

  • search and run Windows defender firewall with advanced security
  • in the tree on the left, select “Windows defender firewall with advanced security” (top entry), and right click to get properties
  • in tabs domain profile, private profile, public profile, set the firewall state to “Off”

Hi cheshimantu,

Our development team has found a solution for this issue, due to some reasons it was not included in 12.2.2.7098. You can expect this fix in next release for sure.

Hi, how soon can we expect this release?

Anyway: I uninstalled 7062 and Installed 6882, now everything is working as it should again, and as a bonus now the Comodo Filter Driver doesn’t have a stroke whenever I mount a NTFS ramdrive.
(cmdGuard \Device\ImDisk0 321200 GlobalAttach 0 00000004)

That’s very disappointing.
Anyway, I bought Norton, it works fine out of the box and has no sudden CPU peaks.
Good luck.

Fixed in 12.2.2.8012.

CIS 12.2.2.8012 Working great! Thanks to everyone involved in the solution! :-TU

Confirming, it is working perfectly.
