Error: 1603. Fatal Error During Installation

I am trying to update Comodo Firewall Free on WinXP Pro/SP3, running Avira Antivir Premium (but scanning turned off for FW installation). The previous installation got removed, but the update fails, so now I have nothing at all. I get the following error messages:
