Hi hanslama,

We will get back to you after analysis

FYI, you are using ancient version of DVBViewer and recording service. Latest DVBViewer is V4.1.1.

Does it matter? I am happy with the version 3.6.2 so I don’t see any point in upgrading.

The poitn is that I don’t get that in latest version - and I am not actually even using the most resent recording service version. There’s many improvements, you should check out the latest version.

Hi hanslama,

The submitted file is not a false detection.

Hello gmohan,

Thank you for the info. What exactly does it do? Does it spy passwords, keyboard strokes? I couldn’t find anything on the internet about it and as I said it’s been running on my PC over an year >:(

google it

http://www.prevx.com/filenames/X1004474367848600868-X1/DVBVCTRL.EXE.html

Well, of course I can google it. But when I wrote " I couldn’t find it"
I meant “TrojWare.Win32.Genome.yz”. The “DVBVCTRL.EXE” was file for a recording service and it doesn’t mean it’s the same file as on the site you posted.
And the site you posted says nothing about “TrojWare.Win32.Genome.yz”. That’s what I would like to know about.
Thank you anyway

the name you are given is comodo’s classification for the malware, each vender has a different way to name things, so you always have to search the original file name not the name given.

I see. Didn’t think about it that way. Anyway, the info about DVBVCTRL.EXE doesn’t seem so bad. To be honest I don’t really understand what this means

Has code inserted into its Virtual Memory space by other programs
