It’s a concern that an issue pointed out many weeks ago hasn’t been addressed yet,especially one so fundamental to pc security.

No it’s not yet.I like to give plenty of leeway to new products,especially free ones,but it has to get the basics sorted before it can be recommended to clients.
Looking at the description for the forthcoming new release there’s not really much mention of detection improvements,more cosmetic.

I’m using the prerelease right now, same issues. I tihnk they have a good idea, Would be good if they took the approach to pay more attention to their users though

I saw Matts review on DriveSentry today. Can anyone tell me how much space does DriveSentry takes when installed, how many processes is it running and how much RAM does this app takes ? ;D
Very Low, I think 7mb or so? I know it is light, Can be used with anything.

I don’t use it personally, but from what I’ve heard it’s very good.
Check out the reviews of it by Matt Rizos as well, for an idea of it’s overal protection ability.

There were some issues with memory leakage a while back but I presume this has been addressed now.It does seem to be very light on the system considering it’s quite extensive. :-TU
Can this be used with comodo firewall and antivirus
it’s not wise to use two AV & HIPS running at the same time.
if you want to use Ds, then you should disable CIS AV & Defense+
From what I’ve heard - DS is meant to be designed to be able to work with most other solutions and people have reported using it with comodo.
Still it doesn’t make any sense, or does it ? , to run it together with an already sensitive HIPS like Defense+

DS has a behavior blocker so that may be why people use it with other HIPS…
