download_file-types.pb

Got two hits this evening related to the file download_file-types.pb stating that it is infected by malware@0. I have no idea what this file is or what event triggered it to be downloaded. A web search seems to indicate that this might be used by Chrome.

I opted to clean out of caution but is this a true malware? I searched my hard drives for files with extension .pb and there are a few, but not “download_file-types.pb”.

Hi iamme99,

Thanks for reporting.
Could you please submit the detected file <download_file-types.pb>at

As I noted in my OP, I cannot find the file.

For what it is worth, I have had 4 users today report the same detection on that same file. When Comodo cleans it you can’t get the file, it disappears. When I can get to it any attempt to copy it is “access denied”. We were able to get a hash of the file, and VirusTotal says Comodo detects it as malware–it’s own file! Here’s the SHA1 Hash: 91502784DB3286597BD36E5BC413543D544F0B0E
Please advise. I need confirmation this IS a false positive! Thank you.

If I can get to another one, I’ll try to submit it to the specified URL.

Hi intltech,

This is to inform you that false-positive has been fixed.
SHA1:91502784db3286597bd36e5bc413543d544f0b0e <download_file_types.pb>
You can update to AV database Version of Comodo Internet Security Version<12.2.2.7098> and confirm it.
