Hi,
Does ISE work with all browsers?
Thanks.
Hi,
Does ISE work with all browsers?
Thanks.
Only Internet Explorer so far: Вefinition of Comodo Internet Security Essentials, Network Security, SSL Certificate
I had read that however I noticed that both Chrome and Firefox bugs were referenced in the Change Logs.
https://www.comodo.com/ise/download/installs/updates/release/release_notes.html
I thought that maybe the documentation just hadn’t been updated.
I noticed that and I have left it installed on our systems, running Firefox mainly. Never had occasion for it to pop up and it just ticks away in the background, doing its thing! I don’t know there’s any way to check it, unless one of the developers has a say?
Ha ha yeah exactly. Will open a ticket I guess, would be nice to know for sure.
Just had a reply from Comodo via a support ticket.
They have confirmed that ISE only works with Internet Explorer.
I guess bugs in the other browsers had nothing to do with ISE supporting them.
A pity - but thanks for finding out. I’ll leave it for the odd times I use IE, since it hasn’t affected Firefox or the others yet
It should also work for chrome as both chrome and IE use the Windows certificate store to verify the SSL/TLS certificate chain.
Comodo has decided to install ISE without my consent.
Is there any point in keeping this installation if I don’t use Internet Explorer at all? Apparently, this installation only works with Internet Explorer according to your online documentation Вefinition of Comodo Internet Security Essentials, Network Security, SSL Certificate. I mainly use Opera, Chrome and Firefox browsers.
ISE works or not with Chrome?
Will it possibly be implemented / updated or would it not be better to integrate this functionality into CIS?
Thank you!
Nunzio.
It works with Chrome and chrome based browsers along with Internet Explorer.
And with Firefox, work?
Does ISE work with Firefox if Firefox is set to use the Windows certificate store??
I made that change a while back. In about:config, look for: security.enterprise_roots.enabled. Set it to true to use the Windows certificate store in FF.
Internet explorer is the weakest browser from all , microsoft decided to change their platform.
