Does CIS Pro need a browser extension to analyze web traffic?

Hello,

I’m opening a technical question from a friend:

It seems that other security solutions need a browser extension to analyze browser traffic and block blacklisted pages.

Many install these extensions when they install the software itself.

Comodo CIS Pro has a blocking list, OK.

But does the Comodo extension need to be installed on browsers to filter web pages?

I ask this question because I imagine the answer will also be of interest to newcomers and neophytes.

No, CIS does not require a web extension. Website filtering is done at the firewall level, but it is outdated as it only blocks HTTP.
