The website looked a lot better than before.
I’ll try the new interface, and tell you what I think about that…
I like the new interface.
It’s much more Comodo’isch…
There where a couple of issues though…
On one of the computers I got a message when starting UA that it was going to use tunneling mode which is slower…
Why did it do that? Can you change it somehow?
I think it’s still slow, but I don’t know if it’s because of that “tunnel mode”…
It’s about a 5 second delay.
I also tried to send a file, and it worked, but not as fast as I would have liked.
The problem came when the file transfer was finished.
I wasn’t able to shut down the file transfer window with the close button, but the X worked. A few seconds later the whole viewer closed by itself…
Then, as you know, you have to download a new viewer.
Would it be possible to have a five minute delay, before the viewer expires?
Hey Melih,
UA website looks much better, much more polished, as does the new UI. Speed “seems” to be a bit improved, but this is just user impression, not quantified. File transfer worked fine for me, speed was actually better than I expected. Task Bar on the remote system was unresponsive to the mouse, but could be activated by sending CTRL-ESC. Is this normal?
One small point, in the file transfer window, one pane is titled “Local Computer” (no problems with this wording), the other is titled “UserAnywhere Server”. Would this be better expressed as “Remote Computer”, rather than “UserAnywhere Server”? The term “server” could lead users to think it referred to YOUR physical hardware server, as opposed to their computer running the UserAnywhere server software.
Also, is remote printing planned for this software?
Nice to see it’s only debitting minutes spent connected, rather than deducating the number of minutes the server software is running.
Other than that, it’s looking good
Hope this helps,
Ewen
Hi,
New site looks great! much better then the older one. I cannot comment on anything else due to my test system not being around at the moment, but I should be able to test it out tomorrow.
Justin
UA doesn’t acknowledge mapped drives on the remote system, only physical devices.

Hello,
Ok, here are my test results for the latest version.
The new look gives it a much more user friendly and more up to date feel (in my opinion), I think it is much better then the previous interface.
Transfer speeds: Very good for now, they could be faster, but they are not slow, (considering this is an alpha, the speeds are very good).
Overall Speed: I noticed about a 3-4 second delay before the UA Viewer screen updated to show the latest data from the PC I was connecting from. Not that bad for an Alpha product, but room for improvement.
Along with the updated useranywhere website appearance and new look for the UA Viewer, I like the changes so far. I also like how it scales the Window down accurately, in the older one, I noticed for some reason when it showed the desktop of my test PC, some things got cut off.
Also I noticed, that when I was controlling my test machine (running Windows 2000 Pro) whenever I would move the mouse from the PC I was connecting from, on the remote PC’s monitor the mouse would blink rapidly while moving.
So far so good!
Great work Comodo Team (:CLP)
