"Do not scan larger than" setting ignored (V3.12.111745.560 X32)

CPU: 32 bit
OS: XP Pro SP3
Active security apps: Avira’s sched.exe service
Symptoms:
“Do not scan larger than”=1000MB for both real-time and manual scanning (default=20MB).
Manual scan of a (file < 20MB) produces a displayed result of “Total objects scanned”=1.
Manual scan of a (20MB < file < 1000MB) produces a displayed result of “Total objects scanned”=0.
Steps to resolve: reboot after changing CIS setting
CIS mode: AV=On Access, D+=Clean PC, Firewall=Custom Policy
Account: admin and limited produce same results

Edit: Updated the subject with the latest CIS version tested.

I retested with CIS v3.12.111745.560 today. I performed a manual scan on a folder that has some files < 20 MB and some > 20 MB. The “Total objects scanned” reported by CIS was the same when the “Do not scan larger than” setting was either 20 MB or 1000 MB.

I can understand that CIS would ignore the “Do not scan larger than” setting when the user manually scans one file. But CIS clearly has a bug when it ignores the setting when scanning a folder.
