Zone Alarm has the option of allowing one to disable internet activity. Does Comdo have the same ability?

Just to duplicate, yes, you can.
From the systray icon, you can choose “Adjust Security Level” from the context menu (right-click) and select “Block All.”
This can also be done from the Summary page of the firewall application window.
