Sometimes when I import “Virus Database” into Comodo Cleaning Essentials, it will say “device is not ready”. Why does it do that?

I don’t think CCE is meant to work without Windows 8 yet.
Could that be the problem?
Most of the time it works & sometimes it doesn’t like today it worked fine.
Windows 8 is still beta, so any software you try to run on it is likely to have unexpected results.
Windows 8 is actually still only a developer preview. The beta is expected late February according to this source.
