Defense+ vs Supreme Commander 2

Hi. Im experiencing compatibility problems with a game thats been released several days ago - Supreme Commander 2. The problem is the BSOD on game startup. The only way to make it run is to completely deactivate Defense+. Putting the game folder in My own safe files in Comodo doesn`t work, nor does disabling Defense+. No alert messages on startup and no logs for blocking actions from Comodo. If I recall correctly there have been similar problems with Supreme Commander and Demigod in the past. Please help me find a way to make it work without having to deactivate Defense+.

Win XP SP2, Comodo 3.14…587, Avira Free

What error does the Blue Screen report? What error name (something like IRQ_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL), what error code (something like 0X0000008F) and when given what file are being reported?

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Subsystem System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x7c9106c3 0x00c7dcdc). The system has been shut down.

You could try to set D+ in training mode before running the game and see if it works. If it does, you can always check the policies that were created during the training process and tweak them if needed.

Don’t forget to return D+ to the previous mode…

Hope this helps

Cheers

Training mode doesn`t work. The BSOD appears again with the same message. I added the game as trusted by myself because comodo has never asked me anything about it. This changed nothing. Basically in the moment the game is started the BSOD appears immediately - so no time for any kind of permission requests and nothing in the logs afterwards.

This looks like a bug to me. I will move the post to the bug boards so the devs can take a further look into this.

Yesterday the new v4 was released. When you are going install it can you post back if the problem is also around in v4 or not?

Will do. I`ll wait for a more stable release and post the results. Thanks.

Keep us posted.
