Default Network Control Rule (Block and Log)

Is this rule (Block and log IP In or Out) or functionality a novel feature of comodo? It seems like its doing the work of Peer Guardian. Is it ok to disable this rule and still retain sufficient security? I’m asking this as comodo seems to be blocking some IP range that is requried for my internet connection (Comodo Forum). I didn’t have this problem while using zone alarm pro 4.5. But then i don’t think ZA blocks IP?

Removing this rule is like having CPF on Allow All. It is a massive security risk, as you are wide open & anyone may contact your system.

IP just means Internet Protocol (ie. all traffic… TCP, UDP, ICMP, etc.). Like PeerGuardian? Not really, PG has 3 large lists of bad IP numbers/ranges that it blocks.
