csu 4.0

Is this a promise? Also does “us all” mean all four of you… or are there more? Just checking.

As for the rest… !ot! Stay on-topic please, the release date (tomorrow) of Avast is seriously off-topic. Try sending a PM to Razvan if you’re that upset about what he told you.

Which would you rather have a better product or a product out sooner ? As for me I would rather have a better product that is not so buggy. Now these take time but yet you don’t want to give them the time because you want the product now. You can’t have both a product that works great and have it right exactly the second that you want it!

I am currently not talking about the product itself but about the attitude and behavior of Comodo personnel.
If the deadline was broken, they should inform us about delay.
One sentence would be enough…no need to go into details…
With “silenzio stampa” they only make users nervous and angry, as we can see…

I’m sure the lesson has been learned: Never post estimates, guesses or ballpark numbers on the forums. It’s a short term gain, for long term pain.

djinn22 you are completely missing my point here by miles! I am not talking about forcing comodo to hastely bring out a product , that is filled to the brim with bugs! I just wanted to point out one of lives finest lessons out to the devellopment team : never , i repeat NEVER make any empty prommisses , you cannot back up 100%!!

BTW It’s promises… and AFAIK nobody made any. Another of life’s important lessons.

well well kail it is obvious to me , that you all are still in the learning process then! In the past the team made a dozen empty promisses , pointed out to comodo in a normal way by terepin , but all he got whas a temporary ban from the forum page , just for being honoust? Now how crooked is that? Where is the whole freedom of speach thing now? I rest my case!!!
thanks for pointing out that writing error to me! And shurely razvan made a promis to us , by publicly stating on this topic , that the final release would be last week! You all can tell us what you want , but we are the ones that are right!

You are correct, I am always learning… unlike some people apparently.

Now please check you’re facts: (1) Terepin was banned for Trolling. (2) Nothing is crooked (illegal) here. (3) Freedom of speech is not an issue here (although, interestingly trolls often say it is). (4) No promises were broken since none were given. (5) I didn’t realise that cases were being presented. But, I will take “I rest my case!!!” as your promise to stop this (since I’m guessing that’s how you perceive a promise).

You’re most welcome.

Nope, that wasn’t a promise. Please see: Promise [wikipedia.org] or Belofte [wikipedia.org] (if it helps).

Now, I hope that’s enough. You’ve repeated your message several times now and if you state it any more times then you are risking curtailing your own freedom to post by receiving a post ban for trolling (this is what it’s called when someone repeatedly posts the same thing, over and over again). I assume by now that you’ve sent Razvan a PM as I suggested?

Razvan.
“…the name may have been brought to Romania from India by Gypsies, and may mean something like “bringer of good news”.”

If there is one thing I learned is that developers have no ill intent when they are reaching their estimated time of arrival. Most of them are not very active at the forums and tend to stick to their developing work. They are a very focused bunch.

Not hearing back from devs about ETA or filed bug reports may be frustrating for the users but it is how things work. I have learned that at both the Comodo and Opera forums. Best thing to do when a release is running really late is to pm the head dev in question or ask us mods to do so.

There is no ill intent but merely hard working people who must have run into unexpected delay(s).

As has been stated and pointed out so many times throughout these Forum boards, estimated/suggested release dates do NOT mean anything. Products will be released into when the Developers feel it is ready to be released. Not before.

Comments posted in this thread are an attempt to flame and cause trouble.
Any further outbursts from anyone concerning this matter will be banned as a flamer.
