CPM crashes system restore service

Window XP Pro SP-3 (as a VM under VirtualPC 2007)
Comodo Programs Manager (latest downloadable version as of this posting)

I was experimenting with CPM inside a virtual machine to see it in operation. It seemed to worked okay (but I came up with questions mentioned in other posts here). At some point, I looked in Event Viewer to check the logs. I noticed on every Windows startup the following error got recorded in the System event log:

Event Type:	Error
Event Source:	sr
Event Category:	None
Event ID:	1
Date: 12/9/2011
Time: 6:15:59 AM
User: N/A
Computer:	VPC-WINXP
Description:
The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected error '0xC0000010' while processing the file 'Cryptography' on the volume 'CPMEvdd1'. It has stopped monitoring the volume.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Once I installed CPM, did a reboot, and cleared the event logs, this error no longer occured on startup.

Hello,

“CPMEvdd” refers to the virtual drive CPM uses to store the monitored information. System Restore filter attempts to monitor the drive during system startup and fails because it cannot be accessed. The System Restore functionality will not be influenced for the rest of the system, only for the CPM virtual drive.

Thank you.

Thanks for the info. It makes sense.
