Your safe mode idea is a classic but still great idea because the user doesn’t have to manually disable other programs, not to mention safe mode doesn’t load any drivers except vital Windows ones.

I’d crossed my neck as well if I could, but I’m not a Conjoined twin.

I seem to remember seeing that once before. I just assumed it was because I have both of those services disabled. I did wonder why cfp might want to be able to communicate with them though…
