I downloaded the program and when I checked if the installation was good, I got a message saying there is a problem and reinstall required. I did the reinstall, and coiuld not restart my computer afterward. It went into a boot loop. I got going using the last known version that worked. Again checked the re-installation and got the same error message saying a reinstall needed. This looks like the start of a dance I want to sit out. I noticed compatibility for xp seens to be limited to sp1. I have sp3. Could this be the problem? esmo

CB 2.2 should work with all Windows versions since XP.
You said it went into a boot loop. This problem can be caused by a BSOD.
Can you please check folder “\Windows\Minidump” to see if any memory dumps were created?
What other backup & security software you have installed?
