I’m getting the same error code while trying to install on WinXP Pro SP3. :cry:

I’m not having your issue. :-\ I am using Windows XP SP3 too, Looking at your signature I’m also using Firefox & Thunderbird, and CIS.

Full System Details might help, Software/Hardware conflict is possible which could be the differentiator.

Cheers,
Josh

Windows XP SP3 32bit.
- Security Software Installed;
COMODO Internet Security 3.10.102363.531, COMODO Backup 2.0.102745.6 RC3
- How you produced the problem;
Using the “Clean my computer” feature, And cleaning everything by default using the Safe Delete/Registry Protection, When rebooted and clicked “Finalize” - Comodo System Cleaner reported that the Clean Completed, However, The following: “Total”, “Successful” and “Failed” had “0” Next to them and nothing was reported, It was just blank and that’s it. You couldn’t even click “Done” and the you couldn’t click anywhere! Nothing was clickable in the computer, My PC was totally locked up. I hard to do a hard restart.
- How you tried to resolve the problem;
I did a hard restart, Same issue happened but this time I could click “Done” and the PC didn’t lock up. The end result was that nothing was cleaning after scanning again.
- Screen-shots with the error (if any);
Attached two below. I had to take a picture with my camera since I couldn’t do a screen shot (pc locked up). First screen shot represents that “Done” button isn’t click able and the Reporting is wrong (Says it’s Cleaned but really it’s not according to the sub heading and scanning again). Second Screen Shot represents Mouse “Thinking” and PC is locked up.

Hello,

We've found that the setup error appears if you have the old version of Comodo System Cleaner already installed.
Please uninstall the old version and reply if you encounter any other problems.
  • Your Operating System (and whether it’s 32bit/64bit);
    Windows XP Pro 32 bit (SP3)
  • Security Software Installed;
    CIS and MalwareBytes (on demand)
  • How you produced the problem;
    Doing install and a restart
  • How you tried to resolve the problem;
    Yes (restare registery to before installation with UBCD4 Windows)
  • Screen-shots with the error (if any);
    N/A

System goes in reboot loop Normal/Safe/Command modes. Had to boot from UBCD4 Windows to restore registry to before installation . It looks as if the drivers crpf.sys and csdf.sys got something to do with it. After the registry restore it boots up and CSC is still working but the drivers is not loaded.

Confirmed. Uninstalling the old CSC did the trick.

Strange. I had the old portable version “installed”. I moved it to my D drive and CSC still wouldn’t install! I “uninstalled” the old portable version with Revo Uninstaller (which found registry entries left behind). Now, CSC installed without a problem.

Now for a little bug…I would like to be able to edit the default Filter Entries list in Disk Cleaner. I would like to be able to clean some of the default list (.dmp, .chk, .gid, .bak and .old) but not all of them. Please let us choose from the list, which entries we want to clean.

I like the new GUI. Looks like a nice job fellas! I haven’t tried anything (since it’s a beta). I just wanted to give it a look-over. I may tinker with it after reading more in the bug reports.

I get BSOD code 0X7F after cleaning and rebooting on Win 7 RC (7100)

- Your Operating System
Windows 7 RC (7100)
- Security Software Installed
CIS 3.10.102363.531, Comodo Time Machine beta, SDWinsec from Spybot Search and Destroy. Non residential: A2 Free, MBAM Free, IObit Security 360 beta, .
- How you produced the problem
Run registry cleaner and let it also look for malicious stuff
- How you tried to resolve the problem
Last known good configuration would not work. Trying to get into safe mode resulted in the same BSOD. Using the Windows installation CD and letting it use System Restore got me back in Windows
- Screen-shots with the error (if any)
- Post Memory Dumps on crash if you encounter any
see attached file
- Any other Additional Information

Other than that I like the new transparent part in the UI as my first impression

Hello,

As I said in the release note, the Windows 7 version of the setup is experimental.
We are beta, the Windows version is RC and the tool provided by Microsoft used to build registry protection and safe deletion drivers is also beta.
We need your feedback so you can fix this issues for the next release.

Hi Razvan. Let me know by PM if you need more information.

I am aware Win 7 is still not final and trying beta software; so I don’t mind the blue screen.

I started a thread about issues that should be fixed, but may not be strictly classified as bugs (e.g. GUI improvements or usability improvements).

CSC 2.0.101929.1 beta: Non-bug issues, fix before final release

Possible bug in Wipe module pie chart (see link above).

- Your Operating System (and whether it’s 32bit/64bit);
WinXP SP3 32bit

- Security Software Installed;
CIS, ESET

- How you produced the problem;
Select “Clean my computer” and perform it.
→ CSC removes Sandboxie’s Shell Context Menu (“Run Sandboxed”).

- How you tried to resolve the problem;
Readd it through Sandboxie > Configure > Windows Shell Integration

Hi,

We reproduced your scenario. It seems that CRC module found an entry in File Extensions section that points to the registry value for Sandboxie’s Shell Context Menu.
This issue will be fixed for the next release.

Thank you for your support.

You’re welcome

Here’s another Gui glitch.
Go to Autoruns Manager > Services > doubleclick on an entry > select Advanced

Because of this, we would appreciate any details that you can tell us about your system, like the operating system you are using, installed applications and anything that you think might help us reproduce the GUI problem.

Thank you for your support.
