Comodo Security Agent could not be started.

No matter how many times I install, uninstall and reinstall, I’m getting this error: “COMODO Security Agent could not be started. Would you like to run the diagnostics tool to fix this error?”

When I click Yes, the diagnostic tool runs and tell it could not fix the problem and would I like to see the report.

I’ve used the Comodo’s official uninstaller, and it didn’t help either.

Then provide the diagnostic report so they can investigate the issue, also try with latest beta or wait for next release.

Thank you for reporting.
Kindly re-install the CIS after complete clean uninstallation of existing CIS using Latest Comodo Uninstaller Tool (Select upon your windows bit) and then Install and check. If it still persists in the sense Please don’t hesitate ping us.

As I wrote in my OP, I already tried using Comodo Uninstaller Tool many times, even after using this to clean any residue of CIS, and reinstalling the CIS, I’m still getting that error.

Okay :-TU.I suggested to use the latest uninstaller tool.But you says it didn’t help you and still persist’s the issue.

hi

i have the same exact error now, so how can i fix it please (i used the latest Cis-12.2.2.7036 web installer).
i havent tried any uninstall tools yet, but it was a clean install and it only had some old mcafee and avast installations, but i removed those 1by1 and made a restart for each also.

the only issue i can remember is that i had a slow internet connection, so i disconnected from the old one and connected to the faster wifi connection, so i had to press some “retry” button, which didnt work, so it just started from scratch.

Could you please uninstall the CIS by using Latest Comodo Uninstaller Tool (Select upon your windows bit) and then Install & re-check. If it still persists in the sense Please don’t hesitate to ping us.

that probably did not fix the issue, but it was missing sp1 too(win7 32bit), so now i’m trying to install the updates first and then try again…
(it gave some 800B0109 error on some update too…; it doesn’t seem to have any malware tho)

it installed some more updates and then the previous failed updates also installed correctly, but then i just used the Cis offline installer instead and then it all went ok… it even started up without needing any restart after the installation…

Install this win update: KB4474419.
“sha-2 code signing support update for windows 7 x64”
