Comodo Online Security v1.4.0.63 Released (for Chromium Based Browsers)

New version 2.0.0.79 released

Good to see it’s on par with the likes of the other major players such as Avast and McAfee.

I’m very glad that there is an active development of this very nice extension.
Won’t be bad to have some update about this development, like a changelog or some future plan.
@Avos: It does have a very good detection rate, tested personally, and it effectively blocks AMTSO phishing test page. This doesn’t mean anything, since AMTSO page(s) are not really malicious and are used only for testing purposes, thus an AV company can deliberately decide not to add AMTSO in their malware/phshing db.

Deleted, it is impossible to wait until the page opens in the browser. Correct.

The slowdown is incredible. I deleted it too.

Eh today there was a slowdown, yes

New version 2.0.0.82 released

The slowdown with the new version has been fixed? Add a serious AdBlock and a tracking block. Avira already has everything. :wink:

New version 2.0.0.83 released

So what has changed in this new version?

I do not know.

New version 2.0.0.86 released

What’s new?

I do not know.

I suggest also here (already done in AMO site) my suggestions for the extension:

  • The icon must be gray when the extension is disabled otherwise the user can forget;
  • The icon must be green when the extension is normally activated;
  • The icon must be red in case of malicious site.
    Thanks.

Released: 2.1.0.90
But does not recognize many phishing pages. :frowning:
I took the test from here: https://openphish.com/
and Kaspsersky Free beats COS … :frowning:

But this forum is abandoned or what? :-[

As a graphic on the page, I liked the previous version more.

The new version 2.2.0.92 has been released.
I noticed the change of colors in the icon.
What else has changed? Has the database been upgraded?
However, I liked the old page in the event of a crash, this is too big!

Today I tested COS from this site: http://vxvault.net//URL_List.php
and recognized almost all malicious links.
So it looks like it’s working great now! :smiley:
