This happens when I install and try to play games for the first time (or until rules are added or Comodo placed into leaning mode)
The game starts to load, then freezes my entire computer that I have to hit the reset button. If Comodo is in Game mode, learning more, or rule manually added, computer doesn’t freeze.
How can I get it to stop locking up my computer? I know Comodo is trying to prompt to allow the game to run, but since it locks up, I can’t alt_tab out or anything. :-\
I know whenever I install a new game or update an existing one, the game freezes or crashes with an error but never my whole computer. Your best bet would be to either make sure the game is treated as trusted before launching the game or create rules in advanced for the game. That way the game and your computer wont lock up anymore just as you said creating rules or setting CIS to training or game mode.
Missed the part about manually added a rule when i read your post.
Add the game .exe to trusted files before you launch the game for the first time. What’s happening is as soon as the game launches full screen the hips is alerting that the game is trying to set a hook or access the keyboard directly (or dllhost.exe is trying to access the internet and a firewall alert is popping up.) Add a rule to permanently either allow or block it. The game has the PC focus and CIS has focus over the game. That’s why it’s locking up.
