Comodo is not protecting VMware network adapters.

I am unable to enter rules to control the flow of traffic between a VMware guest and my PC, but the problem is nothing happens. Even if I make rules to entirely block all traffic to/from the VMware guest IP it just continues as if nothing was entered.

I checked the VMware adapters and the comodo internet security protocol or what ever is not installed on anything other than my onboard network adapter.

Am I doing something wrong or missing something? or is this a bug.

Thanks.

From my understanding, Vmware adapters are virtual network connections while ethernet and wireless adapters are not. This is probably why Comodo doesn’t install a firewall driver on it. You would probably have to create specific rules for the Vmware program rather than the adapter it’s self.

You need to change the option in VMware from Bridged to NAT and share your host IP. Then it will be filtered as regular traffic.

I cannot do that because it would break everything I am doing. I am using host only networking because my networking set up requires it.
