Comodo Internet Security v10.1.0.6476 - RC - Resigned Setups

Hi All,
We have updated v6476-RC setups due to Smart Screen blocking issues as reported by few viz. users Djigibao and Scubamaster.

Only possible reason we could conclude so far was that we used new digital certificate in that build and they were not EV. So we have switched to older EV certificate as had been used in previous v6474 and v6420 builds.

Please share if you still see the Smart Screen error.

In order to install online setups, please ensure you have following entries in Windows hosts (c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts) file:

You can update to this version from last production versions 6420 and 6474 as well by using IP settings as shown in enclosed HostSettings_for_Update.png.

There are no other changes in it. We have just re-signed setups, all binaries inside setup are the same.
We would like you to give it a quick re-try and share your feedback.

The anomaly still happens with other provided installer. Testing previous beta downloads to see if it’s related to latest Windows patch.

EDIT: Downloaded 10 other previous beta installers and experiencing the same issue. I believe it’s because the installer is downloaded via the beta IP address and Windows thinks it’s come from another PC but I don’t understand all the ins and outs of that.

Rebooted and only this and the other RC not running without being blocked by smart screen.

Updated and rebooted. No issues except website database updates failing.

Hi Guys,
I have a problem: I can not install the new beta.
In practice as soon as I start the installer appears to me: HTTP error 404 (or something similar). I had to do a clean installation of the previous version (6474) and now in addition to the Firewall tells me that even Comodo antivirus is waiting for update.
Someone willing to help me?

Have you changed your hosts file as indicated above? An update is expected today.

See"Online Setup" details above. You need to add the IP addresses to your hosts file when beta testing. You have to remove them when you return to using the public releases.

P.S. You can add the server IP in CIS updates settings to test out the Recognisers when those are being beta tested.

Please use setups as published in this post. In couple of systems where “Smart Screen” showed warning earlier, we don’t see warning any more.
