Comodo Internet Security v10.0.2.6420 - RC

Hi All,
We plan to release following v6420 hot-fix this week:

Fixes:
It fixes following issues as mentioned here, which cropped up after last v6408 release.

Online Setups:
In order to install online setups, please ensure you have following entries in Windows hosts (c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts) file:

91.209.196.83 download.comodo.com
91.209.196.83 www.download.comodo.com

Never had those problems, but updated from 6408 smoothly and running well . . . Win10 Pro 64 / 1709 Build 16299.64

I updated without a glitch from 6408 on Win 10 Insider 17025. Then I updated Win 10 to 17046 and CIS runs fine without the need to reinstall.

I ran Diagnostics and it didn’t report any errors.

Typo fix. I erroneously wrote 17040 where it should say 17046. Eric

Please take your time to ensure this release fixes the addressed issues. Sometimes I think the final builds are pushed out too quickly after an RC build. I suppose if no new problem reports come in, RC2 should be released. If that has no new reports then a final release. If it does have issues proceed to RC3, RC4 and so forth until it’s stable. I hate updating after an RC release just to find out it ends up introducing new issues that were not present before in one single RC build.

My problem with the audio service not-started when booting W10, still exists even with this latest version.

My other problem (the serious one) with Windows Start menu disabled (not-working), didn’t happen yet, but since it doesn’t happen all the time … i can’t be sure it is fixed.

Hi Pixo1,
We have not been able to produce this issue, we will be looking further into it.

Thanks

Sure, i understand. Just keep in mind that for both issues i mentioned, there are at least one more user reporting those (not the same user) in your Forums.

We will address it in Dec-2017 release.
In the mean time, may you please file a fully formatted bug report as suggested here?

Going forward, unless a bug can be re-produced easily, we would ask users to file fully formatted bug report, so they can be made part of format-verified-issue-reports

And we will ensure that we address the problem and leave final conclusion in that.

Thanks
