Thanks for testing last RC v6392.

Here is the final build, expected to be released today, final QA is ongoing, fingers crossed .

Fix:
WDSC status bug as reported here has been fixed.

In order to install online setups, please ensure you have following entries in Windows hosts (c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts) file:

Areas to test:

  • Please check CIS status in Windows Defender Security Center (WDSC) in latest RS3 specifically and also in RS2
  • Please run diagnostics and see if it finds any errors.

Just like previous update (Beta 3 to RC), my download and install freezes as shown below. I am sure reboot will install it successfully. Will keep you posted otherwise.

I am on Windows 10 16299.19 64bit.

Do you see same behavior when you update from current production v6294 to this version?

Just wondering if system specific.

A quick update. Reboot as successfully installed the new version. WDSC is showing information as expected, thank you. Please see attached.

Regarding upgrading from Production to this beta, it is always a nightmare my end. It doesnot install or upgrade successfully. I will have to clean uninstall and install again.

Sorry, cannot be testing production to this version as I just have a machine. :slight_smile:

Edit:
On WDSC, there is no information about Comodo Firewall. Is that normal? Please see attached.

Imported the Symantec Web Security list into the Content Filter. After restarting the PC, the category was saved, and the list in it was deleted.

Are you importing into the default exclusion category? For me if I create a new category and import the list, then reboot the category and its content is gone.

Hi All,
The same setups will be available on comodo.com early tomorrow US-EST time i.e. 1st of Nov, 2017.

Updates will follow next week with fix of some of non-critical open issues.

Sadly, it just doesn’t work on Win 10 as it was working on older Win versions. Too many troubles. :-\

To name a few: Audio driver won’t start, Radeon settings control panel (RadeonSettings.exe) either. When I enter my movie folder, thumbnails are constantly refreshing. Windows defender is partially disabled, but still shows alerts. Also, I’m using classic shell (http://www.classicshell.net/). After CIS installation, my start menu changes color and it can’t be reverted.

But that means I’ll have to install it again, and I don’t want to. Not now. Tried reinstalling, rebooting 3 times and what not.

I checked with the next steps:

  1. Created category ‘Imported’.
  2. Created list.txt file with list of sites.
  3. Imported this list to the ‘Imported’ category.
  4. Restart PC.
  5. Checked the list - list was existing.

Could you please provide Symantec Web Security list?

I have the list, malwaredomainslist csv list imports fine and stays. But malware patrol list is gone after reboot.

What audio driver/service is not starting? How can WD be partially disabled? And what alerts does it show? Also start menu color can be easily changed with classic shell installed. You should provide a video to better explain your issues.

Some smart screen alerts, I’m not very familiar with Win 10. Yeah, the audio service I guess. I have red X in the tray. Start menu color can’t be changed on my end. It’s grey, but after CIS installation it becomes blue and that’s it. Also, radeonsettings.exe is an important part which I couldn’t ignore easily.
