Comodo Internet Security v10.0.1.6223 Released

For me update did not want to appear when I was checking using button in “Advanced view” checking from Basic View worked. It might have been just timing coincidence though.

I uninstall Avast and it still does not work. Seems there is only one other user having this problem. Perhaps I should look at alternative… Thanks.

We have recorded it as a bug and it will not connect when program update checking is disabled.
So you will have to wait for next release.

Indeed, it was. Thank you.

Thanks

Hi heffiji,
We really want to understand the reason of the problem and only option left now is to look into your PC via team viewer.
We don’t have detailed update log so can’t make more sense beyond what we could collect so far.

If you allow team viewer access, please send me private message with details and we can also go on Skype.

Thanks

Sorry. I have to say no to your suggestion. I would love to help in any other way as being a long-time user of Comodo firewall.

Hi Andrea 3009,

Sorry, we are not able to reproduce the issue in same environment you have CIS 10.0.1.6223, ComodoDragon 55.0.2883.59, Comodo Secure Shopping 1.1.413851.97 and Windows 10 Creators Update.

Can you please un-install the current CIS you have using this method and un-install Comodo Secure Shopping from Apps and Features.
Try re-install CIS v10.0.1.6223 and check again if you have same issue. Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
PremJK

Windows 7 x64 and CIS v10.0.1.6223. All working fine for me. No reinstallation of Windows 7 was required.

Good luck team COMODO with fixing your products for Win10! ;D

Same here. I have no problem with Windows 7 8)
Windows 10 continuesly changing, it is hard to be compatible, I think
Anyway, my bug is fixed :azn:

Please run the Avast uninstaller tool to make sure all possible traces are removed. Uninstallers sometimes leave a service or driver behind which may cause all sorts of unexpected problems. Eset has a list of uninstallers for security programs: [KB146] Uninstallers (removal tools) for common Windows antivirus software .

Windows 10 has reached a milestone now. Insiders builds are the moving target as always.

Hello Prem JK
I have reinstalled CIS, which fixes the problem but only partially. Works properly on Comodo Dragon. On the default browser Edge causes an error. Sorry for my spelling. I’m writing with a translator.

Comodo Team seem to have many problems with each releases.

A new release coming and had many bugs , another come to fix somes of theses problems but suddently this ( NEW Release) is affected by LONG MANY HOURS of scan and so on and so on.

I just installed the last release last night to effectivly see it take 23 minutes ONLY for an evaluation scan that is suppose to take 1-2 minutes.

I really don’t know what going on with all these buggy release but that REALLY start to unhappy* me off.

I’m a long time Comodo Firewall , Comodo antivirus and Comodo Internet Security user but ■■■■…

Maybe it have been a good idea to stay at Version 5 if Comodo Group don’t have the expertise and the team to do better than give us buggy release each time.

PS : For the record … 23 minutes for evaluation scan.
4 HOURS for a complete scan of ONLY 20 gig of a fresh new install of Windows 7.

I use Windows XP, the last Comodo Antivirus (10.0.1.6223), and I report a drawback.
When I start my PC sometimes Comodo doesn’t start and I must reboot.

Hi Andrea 3009,
Thanks for trying. Are you getting same error for Edge browser which you got in Comodo Dragon.

Kind Regards,
PremJK

A Must Read… This could be causes all the issues that some are reporting.

Don’t install the Windows 10 Creators Update on your own, Microsoft advises

Wait for Windows Update to ensure your hardware works properly, Microsoft says.

How many files?

May I ask why? Looks faster to me compared to following recipes. One might find it suspicious; please do not misunderstand.

Did you check %ProgramData%\Comodo\CisDumps ? Looks like something crashed.
