Please check with v12.1.0.6914 RC to see if you still have the issue.

Cmdagent.exe seems to cause that save removal of usb mass storage devices is not possible. This affects all usb drives that I have connected to a usb hub. This persists even when I close the firewall and the process cmdagent.exe is not running anymore. The behavior starts to appear after windows logs on and while I am still disconnected from internet (and persists after).
Windows 7 OS, I only use the firewall functionality of CFW. Version is 11.0.0.6606.

— update: When I load the usb drive into a VMware VM as external usb drive and then disconnect from the vmware ui so that the drive is visible in host again, the drive is no longer blocked and can be safely removed.
You are using a way out of date version which has this issue that is fixed in the later v12 releases.
