I’m using the free version of Comodo Internet Security (6.2.282872.2847).
Recently I have noticed that it keeps losing it’s advanced settings. For example
I de-select “Show desktop widget” as I don’t use it, but within a few hours it has
re-set itself to show. Also after selecting a “Don’t show this again” box on a message
form they all default to showing again on the next boot. Buttons that I have added to
the task bar also have gone. I have tried fully uninstalling Comodo twice & also used
the unofficial “Uninstaller Tool” but still no luck.
Anyone have any clues as to why this may be happening? It’s installed on XP (sp3).
Thanks & Best Regards

I believe you are likely experiencing the behavior which has already been reported in this bug report. The bug appears to encompass a lot of different behaviors.
Please read through all comments in that bug report, and if you believe your issues are the same, please respond to it and explain the symptoms you are experiencing. Also, please provide any details about your system.
Thank you.
Is this a clean installation of CIS 6.2 or is it an upgrade? If it is an upgrade from an previous version, from what version did you update?
Also please make sure there are no leftovers of security programs you had installed in the past. A possible left over can cause all sort of “strange effects”. Please run clean up tools for all security programs you had in the past. A list can be found here at the Eset website: ESET Knowledgebase .
