They don’t fix a lot of things:
Analyst do not remove adware vendors in the TVL,
analyst do not add reported malware… (just inform you other vendors add samples in 1-2 hour) etc.
We all know these things but some of us do not accept :-TD

Please let me know what problems you have seen when using my configuration. From what I have seen switching to Proactive causes CIS to now automatically sandbox all unknown programs, regardless of where they came from. Have you seen otherwise?

All seems to be ok now. Sandboxing wasn’t my problem just earlier in this thread something was mentioned about proactive setting not the same as 7.
One thing I notice about the new Sandbox that I find annoying is, when the Sandbox catches a file and you click the “Don’t isolate it again” in the alert box, the file is populated in the Auto-Sandbox rules list as Trusted. If you add the file to Trusted Files, it shouldn’t populate the Auto-Sandbox rules list.

Im looking at some tips (with pics) to take the best from cis 8 without too much alerts. is there some kind of guide (with pics) for it? or, atleast, can somebody post here some tips for best protection configurations on cis 8 ?

Can I install this on top of v7 or should I uninstall it before? Eventually, can I export my v7 settings and rules and import them all in v8?
I would recommend a clean install. It was mentioned in beta testing that importing the config from 7.0 doesn’t work out properly. If you don’t want to do a clean install, I would suggest waiting and use the internal updater when it’s ready.

Is the auto-sandbox default “Run Virtual” i.e Full Sandbox now?
And default “Run Virtual” for installers too now?
Explain your case unless you talking about a .MSI or something trying to install a driver ?
I want to know if the default setting have been changed from partial limited to run virtual/full sandbox?
It is caused by the fact that it is tested in a virtual environment and the test file is copied between host and guest according to the head developer egemen:
