Please mention the version number in the installer file name, or else there is no way one can identify if he is going to download the newer one or the older one.
Please add the version number in the Installation screens so that we can be sure that we are installing the new one, not the old one.
Please…Please…Please… It has been a long neglected issue, remaining unanswered.
Siva,
The fix in 2196 addresses the issue in your computer as well and epxlains why explorer.exe ended up as installer and updater in your computer as well.
Only displays with Administrator on my two computers. I used Auto update on both computers. Tried a clean install on the Vista, and no change. AV settings screen cuts off at bottom also, but shows a little better with Windows theme.

EDIT: Switching to WIndows Theme seems now shows all settings with a clean install.
If you trust yourself with regedit then you can try the following to fix this.
start regedit as administrator, now exit cfp.exe (CIS GUI) and browse to [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-{YourSecurityIDHere}-1001\Software\ComodoGroup\CIS] and remove the whole key.
Next start the GUI again, that should solve the string-cut issues.
!! Warning !! please backup your systems registry before editing it, it might cause serious damage to your system if done wrong
Edit:
It might also be located on [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-{YourSecurityIDHere}-100X\Software\ComodoGroup\CIS]
Where X is your profile number, depending on how many accounts you have on the system.
It should contain a big number of subkey’s like e.g. DockingPanelLayouts, Main|, and/or Logviewer|
I was creating a rule for application so that they will not call home or when someone(in the application gui --product page/Home Page/Support…etc) or something triggers it to launch a browser.
I seem to be observing D+ cannot block KMPlayer from calling home via it’s gui KMPlayer 3.1.0 Options>About> all the links there launch IE eventhough you have set-up a block for IE in,
Run an executable/Exclusions/Modify(0/0)>Block Application>iexplorer.exe
If you set it at Block>Protected Files/Folders it will get blocked (application will niot run)because of the \Device\KsecDD rule for the gpcode. Even if you set place all browsers there in >Run an executable/Exclusions/Modify(0/0)>Block Application> it still will launch IE.
When I was with 5.8just placing a rule there will block KMPlayer from running IE or any browser(provided you place it in there or make a new group>Browsers --FF, IE, Chrome). A “Create Process” block will appear since the application is trying to launch Firefox or any browser you place in Blocked Applications. Now D+ cannot block it.
Can anyone confirm this one please…
That was the same also for Wondershare DSB.exe. With other Wondershare products just placing a rule as I do above it will block “create process” --Firefox(default) or any browser. With Wondershare DSB.exe it’s also \Device\KsecDD rule which can block it from running altogether.
How can I block that as with ver5.8?
I already did a clean install and applied the rules I use and not reloaded a previous config.
I test new version (firewall free), fresh install, no old config used.
I found problem:
Defense+/Computer sec policy/Protected files and folders/grups button add group:
name: test IP
value: c:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP\SetPoint.exe
Defense+/Computer sec policy/Defense+ rules/Comodo internet security line/Customize/protection settings/interprocess/modify/add/file groups: test IP
This is working, no “bad” defense events in event viewer.
But, if I rename this group (Protected files and folders/grups “test IP”), new name example “test IP mem access” or any, this settings not working anymore, and I see, this setting disappear from Defense+/Computer sec policy/Defense+ rules/Comodo internet security line/Customize/protection settings/interprocess/ list.
I see group rename with firewall rule working, but with Defense+ not.
