@LeonelF , I had problems with comodo secure DNS.Lost my connectivity.Reset your DNS to it’s original state and try if this helps.:))
I think i know why is this bug happening->
I tried to reproduce it again.Tried to download file, that i know it’s malicious. My broser was frozen again.Look what i mean->

Then i looked at my ‘‘detected threats’’ statistic and what i found->

11 operations just for this one and only file. And what this shot shows. It shows that CIS asks me 2 times, but in fact it asked me just once.It said :‘‘virus detected’’ and i clicked on ‘‘clean’’ it.I think CIS repeats too many times unnecessary actions and that’s why it causes my browser to freeze.I hope You understand my bad english.
USB still not working properly here… flash disk was detected and work fine but Huawei E170 wireless mobile net won’t… i’ve disable defence+ and it as detected the huawei pen… downloading AV updates and checking for updates after… does it stil consider the beta as not the most recent build?
Windows Seven Home Premium x64. MSE active but CAV disable. Windows Firewall off, comodo firewall on. Compaq CQ61-100SP
CIS 4.0.129536.679
EDIT: updating CIS version doesn’t work. it says that’s disable in this version.
EDIT 2: just tested with a Huawei E160 and Defence+ on and the Huawei appers in my comp but doesn’t allow to connect to the internet. gives conection error. desabiling defence+ both Huawie work fine… i’ve rar the content of the E160 to send to the devs… E170 was lefted at home to test E160… where should i send the rar? attach to the topic here?
It is a different alert if you tick the top box and click allow it includes the publisher in your My Trusted Software Vendors list, had one of these alerts with the last beta.
Dennis
Tried re-enabling any services i stopped, that didn’t help, stopped MSE, rivatuner, core temp, pidgin and peerblock. Cleaned up old unused drivers as-well as deleted old cis reg entry’s.
the installer fails during the InstallCertificate/DoInstallFwAv phase of the install
I’m pretty much clutching at straws here.
Hi all. Yesterday I’ve installed CIS 4.0.129536.679_x64 Beta on my Windows 7 x64 and found a lot of troubles.
- CIS doesn’t create the rules, even if check-boxes 1. “Defense±>Advanced->Defense+ Settings-> Create rules for safe applications” and 2. “Firewall->Advanced-Firewall Behavior Settings-> Create rules for safe applications” are marked (Defense+ and Firewall turned into Safe Mode).
- It doesn’t save option “Firewall->Advanced-Firewall Behavior Settings-> Create rules for safe applications” ( I founded that after rebooting my computer).
- Some applications can’t work with CIS (TeraCopy, Punto Switcher, etc) even if rules in Computer Security Policy were created manually and I placed programs into Trusted Application. This happens even if Firewall, Defense+, Sandbox were turned into Disabled.
- In uTorrent I use port which doesn’t seem to open when I check http://www.utorrent.com/testport?port=my_port but there is a green tick in uTorrent.
- Some applications work without requests to create rules. I see them in traffic activity but none in Network Security Policy nor Computer Security Policy (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera but for Internet Explorer creates rules and I see alerts)
Allow uTorrent to Listen on Port 44055: (in uTorrent go to Connection to see which port you are using)
Firewall > Advanced > Network Security Policy > Global Rules
Press Add… button
General:
Action: Allow
Protocol:TCP or UDP
Direction: In
Description: Allow TCP/UDP In for uTorrent
Source Address: Any
Destination Address: MAC Address: xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx (see below)
Source Port: Any
Destination: A Single Port: 44055 (enter your port number)
Press Apply button
- To determine the MAC Address of you network connector. Open Command Prompt, type: ipconfig /all (notice the space before /all) Hit Enter → now look up the Physical Address and write it down. Note that Physical Address = MAC address.
I’ve done that yesterday but still the same. I see port is not open when testing.
Did you make sure the new rule you made is above the red “Block and Log IP…” in the Global Rules Menu?
Yeap. port is really open because of uTorrent works fine. but testing fails…
I tested with my port of 44055 and it was successful. Maybe you could change your port (in both uTorrent and CIS) to this one and see if it works?
Also in uTorrent->Options->Preferences->BitTorrent->Protocol Encryption->Enabled->Allow incoming legacy connections (this stops your ISP from blocking you)
now i rolled back to CIS 3 and everything is fine.
I want to export rules from CIS 3 to CIS 4. is there any problems in it?
WIn 7 x64 Pro
only CIS 4
Problem is, that it is not possible to search for a file in D+ using strg+f.
I don’t think it will work. v3 uses a file extension of .cfg and v4 uses .cfgx (I think I read about it being a type of .xml file). I don’t think they’re compatible.
I know this might be a pain, but you could take a series of screenshots of the different settings and mirror them in setting up v4. I did this with several settings to make sure they were the same between v3 and v4.
or
Another pain: You could simply right down the individual settings that you have in v3 to help you set up v4.
:-\
that’s awful
hope in CIS 4 final bugs will be fixed
That’s beta.
how about applications like Punto Switcher and TeraCopy? they don’t work at all or are working half
I had troubles with TeraCopy until I put it in the Sandbox and set it to unrestricted. I also deselected all of the Advanced settings for it and now it runs just fine.
tera copy 2.1.2 works fine with me. i’ve disabled defence+ because i used a usb stick internet connection. defence+ seems to keep denying usb acess to them if turned on…
seven home premium x64
thanks both mokito and Sammo. I’ll try your way
