The same here :'(.

Vista Home Premium SP2 64bit, AVG Linkscanner and Windows Defender

I like the new Log Viewer, but it seems that there is no option allowing to clear the logs.

CIS (CAV) still crashes when scanning (some old stuff) here…

Screen-shots attached…

crash1.jpg is what happened when I first scanned it… (that was the only alert, but the gui with all the results was lost when I pressed OK)

Then in picture crash1rescan.jpg I had just rescanned it 2-3 times and I got that alert/crash instead…

CIS automatically deletes files which are found ‘suspicious’ by online look up when Sandbox is enabled what could lead to extended data loss on systems with lots of ‘unsafe’ applications or false positives.

Maby this has already been reported, IDK but well:

A check-box is weird looking for me… the “Disable Firewall logging” one… Image attached… A really minor thing, but I thought oh well lets report it anyway…

Wrong Defence spelling, should be Defense:

cfplogvw.english.lang.template:

<dialog id="1028" caption="View Defence+ event" fontface="MS Shell Dlg" style="-2134114232" position="0, 0, 239, 165">

I like the new design as well. please include a way to clear logs in the next beta. :-TU

  1. Your Operating System (32 or 64 bit) and Service Pack revision WinXP Pro SP3 32 bit
  2. Other Security and Utility Software Installed CIS Beta 2 and CSC
  3. Step by step description to reproduce the issue Double clicking on MS Word document (.doc) opens Word, but Word claims it can’t find the file. Have to end process through Task Manager to close Word.
  4. How you tried to resolve the problem Adding Winword.exe to My Own Safe Files cures the problem.
  5. Upload Memory Dumps on crash if you encounter any n/a
  6. Attach screenshots to your posts to clarify the issue further n/a
  7. Any other information you think that might be useful n/a

Windows xp 32 bit, and I have the same problem.

There is a GUI glitch in New Private Network Detected pop up alert at 120 DPI.
Also, the IP/Mask label could be bolder so it would be easier to read it on that colourful background.

Just reposting these to make sure they weren’t omitted by the devs in previous bug report thread:

- There is no submit this file to Comodo option in firewall alerts

- Certain text areas in Defense+ and Firewall alerts have too small font at 120 DPI, comparing to the same alerts at 96 DPI where all text areas have equal font. Screenshot attached.

- Labels on some buttons (Apply / Cancel) are not localized

- ICMP messages in logs (should be Type Code, and not Type Type)

- Blocking by hostname does NOT work correctly x32 v3.8.65951.477 [other bug report to this issue]

An issue with filter in the new Log Viewer:

Logs per Module → Antivirus Events → Location → Contains/Does Not Contain

User has to type double backslash otherwise pathname separator doesn’t work.

It’s spelled Defence here in the UK mate.

We can’t help that you don’t know how to spell in the UK.

Windows xp sp3 32bit
CIS 4.0.129536.679, no other security installed
About 30 minutes after I installed this version I got a bsod.
Minidump attached.

Same as I posted earlier with version 3.13:

How accurate is Comodo Leak Tests? I ran it several times Sandboxed and got different results every time. I got a perfect 340/340 when I ran it on the current final xxx.581 (in Safe Mode and blocking all requests). ???

Clear Log option is missing in Log Viewer

Thanks for your report. We need your more help

  1. Can you upload these files you scanned?
  2. What’s your base version?
