It happens sometimes when I start my computer. The only way to solve it is to restart the computer.
I’m not sure what is causing this problem. Could it possibly be a compatibility problem with Returnil?
Regardless I must uninstall this and go back to V3. I’ll definitely check out the next BETA.
Hopefully this is a bug that can be quickly solved.
IMHO the issue here is that CIS theme is not applied to that window, on the contrary to previous versions. I find that CIS 4 beta 2 has lots of these kind of issues. Hopefully they will be sorted out till next beta/rc.

I can’t get QuickBooks to run with CIS 4. Intuit says that it can’t find the key. I had to go back to 3.14 because of this.
I’m noticing a small GUI glitch. In various report boxes, I’m noticing a white square around the button text. See attached screenshots.

Pretty sure that the IOBit software and Private firewall install low level drivers that are still resident and active (to some degree), even if they are disabled. These, in isolation or in combination, could (and more than likely are) prevent the installation of CIS’s drivers.
To install CIS, I would recommend that you download the installer, take your system off the net, uninstall the other security software, reboot and then install CIS. Once CIS is installed, put your system back online and configure.
Hope this helps,
Ewen
Problem description: With D+ enabled, and Winword 2003 invoked by Outlook 2003 as message editor, Outlook message window response slows so it does not keep up with my typing. When you try to save message draft it sometimes (not replicable) gives a weird error message about permissions. (Winword is not in sandbox). Switch off D+ permanently & reboot, slow response problem disappears. Switch D+ back on again and it re-appears. Use Winword directly and the problem disappears. Process explorer shows double the normal processor load for Winword when D+ is on and Outlook invokes Winword, about half of it kernal mode. Problem seems especially severe when message editor invoked by clicking on a web page email link.

Problem description: Comodo is as default on my list of trusted vendors, and all files are code signed. But I keep on getting F/W alerts when I did not with similar settings in v3. As I have alerts set to low, to alert safe software would seem overly cautious. (Possibly some sort of settings problem?)

Private firewall & IObit security where only installed after i first tried installing cisbeta and it failed
cis 3.14 installs and works fine.
Problem description: Flood of incoming WOS log entries. These occur even if you allow all incoming and outgoing connections for windows system files group, and place this rule at the top of the rules list. Also despite the fact that source and destination IP is within my network, and even if you change the network mask to an IP range which includes both IPs. The device initiating the connections is a router with VOIP functionality. It is not an internet network gateway. (Further request - could log entries for incoming connections caught by a WOS process be more specific regarding the process involved? Identifying it as ‘WOS’ is confusing as people naturally think they should give privs to the whole Windows System files group or even to System32/* to suppress the alerts. This is presumably not a good idea?).

Just to note that the CIS v 3 reporting script does not always work when run against latest Beta. (Objects to ‘create rules for safe files’ setting under FW settings). The reporting script for V 4 is being written by Ronny and is in testing. Works on my machine!

I know, but all other Defense’s are written like on the main GUI Defense…
Well, it’s not a bug report but a question, but since devs read this thread most often I decided to post it here.
Does these settings in Windows’ registry still affect on how CIS detects and handles incoming attacks? (please refer to a screenshot bellow, those I’m asking are marked on blue)
The reason I’m asking is that I had to change them occasionally but they no longer available through CIS GUI.

Eek I thought I removed it in time as I saw you answered it somewhere else but anyway why do English people have to put up with American English spellings when it would not happen the other way round? Pull your finger out comodo small things matter! Look at the the virus database wording in the main GUI. The main main database has been updated on Saturday Jan 30th (wrong in the uk it’s DD/MM/YY) Grrrrrr. So should read Saturday 30th Jan.
Note to Comodo there (weirdly enough for you to understand) is a world outside of the USA and in that world it’s DD/MM/YY and guess what there are more people in the world outside America then in it. I have been meaning to report the above for a while.
Win7 x64, CIS + CSC, “Create rules for safe applications” isn’t working. Both D+ and FW gives me alerts for safe applications. Furthermore, when D+ is in “Safe Mode”, several applications are silently blocked, like Steam, MPC HC, QIP.
Complex, apparently.
Text is missing in alerts.
(Application name is EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition Setup. Vendor name is CHENGDU YIWO Tech Development Co., Ltd.)

Yeah a bit like making a version of CIS 4 which is not broke.
