Great job as always and thnx for this release (V).
1.Vista 32bit SP1(Toshiba Qosmio X300-12H)
2. none security, only cfosspeed running.
3. Defence+ (when set to Paranaoid Mode) is not remembering program rules for Protected COM Interfaces, DISK access, and DNS request for many programs such as MSN messenger 8.5 and Internet Explorer 7.
4. Set Defence+ to Safe Mode for applications to be treated us trusted. I performed a clean installation twice(uninstall, restart, install) and i didn’t imported any configs.
I have installed again the latest stable release and everything running smooth again.
Just reposting issues from beta one to make sure that someone will look into these. All issues are present in beta two. Original bug reports linked.

ICMP messages are wrongly logged (Type Type insted of Type Code).[/url]
The new beta feels smoother than the previous one. No more CPU spikes and high RAM usage on startup. But after the AV update the database in on version 2 ? ???
And strangely the BETA doesn’t kill my network connection, while the regular one does 88)
OK, mine it has a problem it seems. Vista64, uninstall CIS, run regcleaner, install again, same error in Event Viewer but CIS seems to work.
Now what? ???
m00nbl00d: Well actually I only restart my PC when the driver installers ask me to. For other programs I’ve never restarted and 'till now I’ve had no problems (not even with older versions of CIS). I’ll reinstall next week, I’m sure it will work then.
Avira Antivir Free Version,Spybot Search and destroy,Spywareblaster
3.Two issues…I run “netstat -an”,135 and 445 listening ports are not displayed on Active Connections.
And another one…Sometimes the lower part of the explorer.exe are not displayed on Active Process List.

I only installed Comodo Internet Security and safesurf.(not installd AV)
Platform:Windows XP SP3 32-bit on VBox Other security software:none. Defense+:Permanently Disabled Firewall:Safe Mode
I was trying to submit some files to Comodo when the files submission application crashed.
Files, screenshot and Inspector IIXII crash logs have been attached.
CIS completely freezes my pc when connecting to a network with Cisco VPN Client 5.0.04.0300.
Need to press the power button to get my system to reboot.
Vista, SP1, Enterprise, x32, Normal User, Fully Patched
Windows Defender, VMWare 6.5.1 Workstation.
Try to connect with the client using an IPSec configuration, it will freeze 4 out of 5 times.
Tried all even disabling AV, FW, D+ and Disable D+ Permanently does not help, keep freezing.
Send using email, the CIS crash.dmp files.

I did a complete uninstall/install using all defaults, only skipped virus scan on install and did not register to TC.
The rest is “out-of-the-box” configuration.
Defense+ does not remember all questions asked and ticked with “remember” for example explorer.exe
Vista, SP1, Enterprise, x32, Normal User, Fully Patched
Windows Defender, VMWare 6.5.1 Workstation.
Used ProActive - Set D+ to paranoid, change explorer.exe’s permissions to “ask” for all, it will keep asking you for the same things, like hooks, keyboard, “Accessing the GUI of xyz.exe etc”
Tried to put some things manually in it’s permissions but that does not help for all prompts, you just can get rid of all alerts.
System fails to startup normally, i keep a black screen and a mouse cursor, can move the cursor though, after a few minutes the system reboots spontaneously. Eventlog shows it failed to load inspect.sys
Vista, SP1, Enterprise, x32, Normal User, Fully Patched
Can you check your Windows Event log at around the time you installed CIS? Obviously, you’re looking for any errors relating to driver installations or Comodo? Have you had a BSODs (Blue Screen Of Death) recently? Did you have any trouble uninstalling the previous version of CIS?
At this very moment, I don’t know. You’ve blown my theory that it was Vista x32 with 4GB. Since you have 64bit. Anyway it depends on why inpsect.sys isn’t running or perhaps why it didn’t install correctly. For me, it took an embarrassingly long time to realise inspect.sys was not running. My Vista system isn’t on-line & thus I didn’t test the comms (the quickest way to find out I suspect).
1 Vista home basic 32bit
2 SpywareBlaster, WinPatrol Plus
3 Installed the beta with no problem. Two days later I did a virus scan. It found nothing. Rebooted and got as far as the Windows is starting window and that’s where it stops. Still running as the Vista wheel keeps spinning.
Let it spin for 45 minutes this last time. Put back the last non beta version by a snapshot and it started right up.
4 Tried restarting several times

No errors regarding Comodo install/uninstall. Only inspect.sys at boot. Everything else works as it should (Firewall and D+, I don’t use AV at home). At least I think so.
I have only one BSOD with previous beta, but after I just updated my NIC drivers with Microsoft Update. After that BSOD I went at Marvell site and took latest driver and everything is OK, no more BSOD’s.
No trouble/errors when installing/uninstalling Comodo. After uninstalling I ran Comodo Regcleaner (from Comodo System Cleaner beta). At a first glance (after uninstall/regcleaner) nothing strange happens, things looks OK.
Vista64 and 4GB RAM here. May I ask what inspect.sys should do and why things looks OK even it’s not started?
Automatically submit the files in the submission queue does not work, it keeps “sending” them and never finish. Is this disabled on BETA installations ? or is this a bug ?
Vista, SP1, Enterprise, x32, Normal User, Fully Patched
Windows Defender, VMWare 6.5.1 Workstation.
Get some files in the submission queue and wait, you will see the systray pop once in a while sending the same files, check the submission queue, the files will not leave the queue.

Edit:
Putting a packet trace under the “submit” button shows that the host is not running the HTTP daemon, i get TCP RST packets back on the Destination: 77.92.68.124 - lookup1.security.comodo.com
Today I dug deeper in the Event Logs and I found an error in regard to CIS’s Driver. It goes like this (I had to translate it): ‘It is not possible to run COMODO Internet Security Firewall Driver service due to the following error: It is not possible to create a file that already exists.’
It was registered about the time I installed the 2nd BETA. No mention about inspect.sys
I’m attaching a screenshot of the ‘Details’ section of this error.
I have also found another error in relation to CIS: ‘COMODO Internet Security Helper Service has unexpectedly stopped working. It has happened: 1 time(s) so far.’
I think it relates to the stable version (.439) as it comes from a good 1 hour before I installed the beta, but I MAY BE WRONG.
Attaching a screenshot.
There’s one more thing I have found - there are logs about Inspect (but I don’t think it’s the same as inspect.sys) not loading but, in my opinion, they pertain to SUPERAntiSpyware. See for youself:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
Inspect
pdqukley
SASDIFSV
SASKUTIL
