I have for about a week now, trying to make my Comodo Firewall allow all traffic on my LAN network. When I have Comodo Inspect enabled, I can only transfer files from my main system to my other system on the same LAN network I use for editing at around 8-9mbps. However, if I disable Inspect, reboot, I can transfer in excess of 80-100mbps.
I have set a trusted lan in Network Zones in the firewall for 192.168.3.0/24, which should tell it to ignore traffic on LAN IPs from 192.168.3.1 to 192.168.3.245, but it doesn’t do anything.
I’ve even used ChatGPT to come up with suggestions & nothing seems to work unless I disable Inspect using Disable-NetAdapterBinding -Name “Ethernet” -ComponentID “inspect” in powershell.
I’m starting to consider ditching Comodo Firewall, something I’ve used for years because of this. As I’ve had enough now. So if any of you guys can suggest something, I’d appreciate it very much.
I should add, The evidence is strong that the bottleneck is specifically **COMODO inspect processing traffic through the I211 (Intel(R) I211 Gigabit Network Connection) adapter.
I have to fully disable inspect, reboot to establish full transfer speeds. Enabling, massively reduces my transfer speeds on single thread transfers.
That remark of his was sarcastic—he was saying the support was “amazing” when he actually meant it was terrible; at least, that’s how I understood it.
After all, no one has helped him so far.
It was indeed sarcastic. They basically asked if I was a licenced or free user. I replied to say I use the firewall free version & they got back to me to say they’re not able to provide individual support for issues for products they offer for free.
I use Avast free AV & I had a problem with it once & they were more than happy to walk me through the steps to resolve it. So really, if that’s the attitude from Comodo staff, subscribe or find your own help, then I think I’ll go find a different firewall.
We realize that COMODO’s support leaves a lot to be desired; keep in mind that their team is small—I believe there are no more than two or three people.
