Thank you very much,

Nice one, thanks!

Hi There,

I have updated to the latest version of IceDragon the other day :), but since then sites are loading much, much slower.
Am I the only one experiencing this?

I have compare the load time vs load time for the same sites using the latest version from Firefox (63.0.1), and Firefox is much faster.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

Nel

Hi Nel! Thank you for the feedback.

We haven’t been able to reproduce this issue so far, but we will investigate this further. Can you provide more information about operating system version/OS build(on windows 10 … go to Start and type winver), also you can check if your windows is up to date (on windows 10 … go to Start and type Check for updates)? Does this happens on all sites, or some specific sites?
You can try reinstalling (or installing the 32 bit version of Icedragon, if you have installed the 64 bit version … or the portable version)

Hello Catalin,

when I upgraded to the latest version of CID I took following steps: Help > About Icedragon and applied the update from there.

I do have Windows Home 10, Version 1803 - 17134.376.
Windows update and all other programs are up-to-date.
It happened on most site, specially Facebook, the dashboard of my web store & marktplaats.nl. These sites I use a lot during the day.

I have tried several things to speed things up (Ran CCleaner, de-fragmented my hard-drive, deactivated the Adblockers) till I realized this problem occurred since I had updated CID.
After I posted my comment in the forum, I decided to download the 64-version of CID and re-install the browser, using the file. I started the program and used the repair option and that seems to have done the trick.

Facebook is still slow at times, but not as bad as it was yesterday.
The other sites look to have their normal speed again, but I will be able to judge better after I used them more later today.

Thanks so far.

Nel

Since Facebook remains slow (caused by reading data from static.xx.fbcdn.net ), I installed the 32-bit, there is some improvements, but still…

It seems slower for me too. When we first had the update that brought us up to date with FF 57, when the legacy addons became obsolete etc, Ice Dragon was very fast. Now it seems a lot slower, particularly facebook.
64 bit version on Windows 7 64 bit.

With regret, but I have decided to go back to Firefox, till the next release, since I am loosing too much time with waiting pages to load. All sites, specially Facebook, is soo much faster on Firefox then it is on this version of CID :frowning:

Hi, just happens that https://web.whatsapp.com/ not working at all today.
The whatsapp webpage raccomand “To use WhatsApp, update Firefox or use Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge or Opera.”
I love IceDragon but I’m in trouble since I look thi advice this morning. Regards
